Description
- Drill a 1-5/8″ holeĀ
- The O-ring / Gasket should be on the OUTSIDE of the tank. Make sure there are no burrs on that side of the hole.
- The lock nut hex measures 2-1/16″ or 52mm. Turning it with an adjustable wrench does NOT work well. You’ll need a 1/2″ drive ratchet, or a pipe wrench.
- The front of the flange does not have flats for a wrench. The easiest way to hold the front of the flange for tightening is to clamp any other TC part ( the ball valve works great) on with the gasket and clamp. Once tight, you can insert a long rod or screw driver into the hole of the wingnut to get more leverage while tightening the bulkhead.
- If you’re installing on a Brute can, stay clear from the mold seam found at the bottom of the can. Be sure the surface is completely flat where the bulkheads gasket is going to go
